Communication IQ ("Communication IQ," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit our website, contact us, apply to become a certified consultant, or take part in a Communication IQ assessment. By using this site you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Information you provide. Name, business email address, telephone number, employer or organization, job title, team size, stated objectives, and any content you include in a message or application form.
  • Assessment data. Responses submitted to a Communication IQ assessment and the resulting profile scores and reports, where you or your organization has engaged us for assessment services.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected automatically through server logs and analytics.
  • Communications. Records of correspondence with our team, including support and sales inquiries.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, or biometric identifiers through this site.

2. How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide requested information.
  • To deliver, administer, and support assessments, reports, training, and certification programs.
  • To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the site and our services.
  • To conduct aggregated, de-identified psychometric research supporting the ongoing validity and reliability of the instrument.
  • To send business communications about our services where permitted by law; you may opt out of marketing messages at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

3. Legal basis and consent

Where we process information about you at the request of your employer or a sponsoring organization, that organization determines the purposes of the processing and is responsible for obtaining any consent required. Individual assessment responses are treated as confidential and are shared with a sponsoring organization only in the form agreed at the outset of an engagement.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers that host our infrastructure, deliver email, manage customer relationships, and provide analytics, each bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Certified consultants engaged to debrief your results, where you or your organization has arranged that engagement.
  • Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Communication IQ or others.
  • Corporate transactions, such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site function and to understand aggregate usage through Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function as intended. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no common standard exists.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, or to support the defense of legal claims. Assessment records are retained for the term of the client engagement and a reasonable period thereafter, unless a shorter period is agreed. Research data is retained in de-identified form.

7. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
